Goats, Feral Sheep, Turkeys & Scrub Bull

We hunt goats wild ram and other small game as well as wild boar in our base in southern Queensland Our base camp is a 3 hour drive west of Brisbane.
Airports:The nearest airports are Brisbane [international and domestic] and Toowoomba in Queensland.
Here you’ll have sole access to hunt on 12000 acres of what we call traprock country in south eastern Queensland. Great natural terrain for the 5 species of deer, goats, feral sheep, and wild boar you can hunt here. There is also plenty of opportunity to access plenty of other feral animals such as rabbits and foxes which are complimentary in your daily rate. You may also take the opportunity to do some fresh water fishing, our native fish respond to either lures, flies or live bait. Feral sheep can be hunted in Queensland.
When we hunt
These hunts can be done all year. Great fun and value as they include fresh water fishing as well as sightseeing and wildlife trips.
As you hunting on our private land there is no need for licenses or are there open seasons for the animals. There are no bag limits on game taken but where ever possible we attempt to utilize game taken and exercise predator control to protect our grazing animals and native wildlife hunted by these vermin.
How we hunt
Our hunting area here in on 12000 acre our sheep station in SE Queensland situated 150 miles west of Brisbane. The area is abundant with game and wild goats. Hunting here is done by 4 wd and on foot and all hunts are fully guided with rifle use included if required. The terrain is a pristine wilderness in most areas and is covered by cypress and eucalypt forests and low bush of wattle and other Australian natives giving great cover for hunting and especially with bows.
Hunting is done by 4 wd, driving to a point and then walking. We spot and scope and then walk. We also use blinds for those that find it difficult to walk.
What else can we hunt? Wild goat, Feral sheep, Wild boar, turkey and sometimes scrub bulls are all in this region and have a trophy fees. We offer first class fresh water fishing for Silver and Golden perch as well as our native Catfish. Our wilderness areas are abundant with native wildlife and birds: makes for great photographs.

The Lodge accommodates up to 6 guests. [all menities & private facilities]
The pole built lodge has wide cool verandas where you can just relax and watch the wildlife, deer, kangaroos, and wallabies in the homestead preserve. Many species of bird life abound here as they visit to feed off the many native trees planted in the lodge gardens.
The Wilderness game observation camp. This early pioneer style wood cabin is situated on the banks of the local creek in the middle of the game preserve an ideal observation spot to watch the local animals come to water and feed or throw a fishing line in the nearby creek. Accommodates up to 6 guests with bunk beds in central sleeping area with wide observation verandas. [Aussie bush showers and toilets, no power]
Temperatures in Queensland
Its dry inland temperatures ranging from -4 to 20 degrees in the day in our winter months. Hot and dry in summer temperatures up into the 40’s
Best Hunt Times: We can offer varmint hunting all year round but the best times is definitely the cooler months when the skins are better and temperatures more amenable.
Trophy Size: We work hard to find you the very best animals we can as our photos show. but in come species ie goats you have the optin of hunting for large trophy billies or small notrophy ones for skins.
All expenses for this hunt are included in an all inclusive daily rate. Prices start at $400 a day Prices work on a sliding scale if more than one hunter
What are terms for booking a hunt.?
A booking fee of 50% of daily rate is necessary to secure booking dates and a booking form is required to be completed. Balance due on hunt commencement.
A contract will be sent to you confirming details of safari.
There is a cancellation fee of $100 but refunds can be given up to 4 months prior to hunt, after this date no refund but alternative dates can be worked out at the mutual consent of outfitter and hunter.
Payment by bank transfer or credit card [no amex]. Airport transfers are arranged. There is a 2 day minimum [includes meals and accommodation] There is always an option to add on or upgrade other hunts alternatives. Non hunters are always welcome and prices include touring of local regions

What to bring
You’re advised to bring shady hat and light long trousers for hunting in. Cool casual clothing, light weight walking shoes in the summer months and warmer in the winter. Sunscreen and insect repellent are advised also. Casual clothing with jackets for early morning and in the evening is recommended. Camo is recommended. Remember our voltage system is 240 and we have different plug formations so keep this in mind when packing.
