Wild Boar Hunting Safaris

We offer the pig hunter 2 choices  the first being our  base camp is in southern Queensland [ east of Brisbane ] which  offers wild boar hunts . These hunts while whilst great fun and good pig with no bag limits the wild boar  They are not comparable in size or number to the dangerous  huge wild boars of the northern regions of Queensland .Where clients took 38 big boars in two days .  The very vast northern reaches of Queensland's Gulf country famous  huge pigs and spectacular fishing  .Its rugged  terrain  but it is natural beauty of Australia's bush and adds to the adventure of the hunt .

1. Northern Queensland Wild Boar hunts

An adventure to northern Queensland flood plains that are filled with huge mobs of large boars [ 100 or more] and mixed with the odd crocodile and venomous snake just to make the adventure exciting! True crocodile man country. !!!! Unlimited huge boars of over 200 lbs as many as you can hunt.... image it! The opportunity comes along to take a dangerous feral bull [ bulls that been born and live wild in the bush] 

Wild boar in Northern Queensland

We have a hunting and fishing concession on approximately1000 sq km on the western side of Cape York, which includes both the Kendall and the Holroyd River. As this is a remote wilderness area with very limited access, the hunting is very good with a high concentration of trophy boars available. It is ideal for bowhunters as there are many small creeks where the pigs like to lay up during the heat of the day, as well as hundreds of small and large swamps, lagoons and waterholes. Scrub bulls are another option with a trophy fee related to market value. There are no fees for any other game, and no limits on the number of trophy boars shot. Dingos, feral cats and brumbies are contained within the area also. Some of the tusks taken on a trip

All hunts include rifle hire and full  accommodations on hunt. Best times July to November due to weather. 

Our accommodation is a tin shack with a cement floor and generator, containing beds with inner-spring mattresses, fridge, large freezer, hot and cold shower, kitchen etc. In other words, quite comfortable. All food and some drinks are included in the price, the exception being alcoholic drinks, which the client must provide. We can also purchase these locally if preferred

Closest airport : Cairns where you then catch a mail plane or charter a plane. .

Pig hunting combined with fresh water fishing for yellow belly, perch , bass  and Murray cod .

The pig hunting here is done on properties around the grain areas of the south western Queensland and whilst in drought there are still good mobs of pigs to hunt . The boars while not generally as large as their northern cousins are a definite challenge for any hunter and good sized  mobs can be hunted each day.  there is always fishing along the many sleepy river banks . Silver Perch, Yellow Belly [ Golden Perch] Bass and Catfish

Fishing is great along many of the  streams in the area but best times are from September to March/April for fishing but the pigs are available all year.

Getting around on the hunts is by 4 wd drive and  on 4 wheeler bikes
