Enjoy the Australian bush and have your own private waterhole to relax and catch some of Australia's best freshwater fish. You can either be spoilt and fully catered for and  at the lodge or bring your own tent and tackle and  still have a taste of paradise. The choice is yours

You have the option of fishing in beautiful Lake Bodumba or in a waterholes along Mosquito Creek that winds through the 12000 acre property. It will seem like you are in a pristine  wilderness area thousands miles away from civilization.  

Freshwater Species

Yellow belly, silver perch and catfish are all available in our creeks and lake. They respond to flies, lures or live bait.

If just wanting to fish a nominal daily rate applies and you can elect the number of days you wish to stay. POA depending on accommodation needs

There are three options available

  • The  Lodge accommodates up to 4 guests. [ all amenities & private facilities]

The pole built lodge has wide cool verandas where you can just relax and watch the wildlife, deer, kangaroos, and wallabies in the homestead preserve. Many species of bird life abound here as they visit to feed off the many native trees planted in the lodge gardens. 

 

    • The Wilderness game observation camp. This early pioneer style wood cabin is situated on the banks of the local creek in the middle of the game preserve an ideal observation spot to watch the local animals come to water and feed or throw a fishing line in the nearby creek.

Accommodates up to 6 guests with bunk beds in central sleeping area with wide observation verandas. [Aussie bush showers and toilets . no power]

If guests are staying more than one night they may wish to stay a night in each option if bookings permits.

.Monster Barramundi  Fishing Trips  :Safaris depart the Nyora hunting lodge for the monster Barramundi fishing Safaris a 5 hr drive to the north ..in this beautiful  impoundment  you will  catch fish between 50-60 lbs. A 3 day minimum for safari. Fish include Yellow belly Silver perch, Bass, Murray Cod and Catfish]Saltwater Fishing

Salt water fishing trips are available from either Darwin in the Northern Territory or off the coast of Queensland.  

Make the time to catch some of our big game fish or a Barramundi Australia's north's prize fish.

You can plan to include  a saltwater  fishing trip in conjunction with any of your safaris .
